There is no substitute for the doing
If you read July’s Featured Fit Dad interview, you hopefully caught James’ uncle’s quote: “If you want things, do things, and you will have things."
This resonated with me and how I approach not just my own fitness journey, but the conversations I have with my training clients.
Everyone WANTS to look and feel a certain way. It’s different for everyone, but I’d be willing to bet that if given the choice, everyone would choose a healthy, fit life over an unhealthy one.
The resistance comes in the doing. It’s the vast middle between wanting and having, and it’s the part that requires consistency, hard work, mental and physical toughness, and a host of other characteristics that make up a physically and mentally fit person,
There is no substitute for the doing. There is no shortcut that is worth it. It all comes down to putting in the work it takes to get what you ultimately want.
So go do something today!
