You may already be familiar with this month's Featured Fit Dad, Glenn Lovelace.

Whether it was him winning $100,000 in Bodybuilding.com's transformation fitness challenge in 2017, or listening to his interview on the Fit Dad Fitness Podcast last month, Glenn has made quite the name for himself in the fitness world.

I highly suggest listening to Glenn's interview on the podcast, but for his feature this month, he offers up some good nuggets of info and motivation for all of us dads.

Here is Glenn's story:

When did you first get into fitness?

I had my first weight-lifting class as a sophomore in high school. My first bench one-rep max was 135 — I was so proud, haha.

What activities do you do to keep fit and active?

Gym, cycling, hiking, dirt biking, yard work ... and keeping up with all these KIDS!

What is your favorite fitness memory or achievement?

My favorite memories are when I see someone I'm working with have a breakthrough with their own transformation ... when the lights go on in their eyes and they are just FUELED by their own breakthrough. My own achievement would include so many small breakthroughs, but a big one might be winning $100,000 from an online transformation contest with BodyBuilding.com in 2017.

What is your favorite workout?

RippedIn6 Full Body programs have been my favorites lately — I love full-body routines.

In what ways do you hope to influence your children through fitness?

I mostly want to empower them to realize the benefits of being healthy and happy. They should try new things but always focus on things that they love. No matter how hard I try they are watching ... and STEALING my bags of chicken and veggies for their school lunches — can't be too mad about that I guess, haha.

What words of encouragement would you have for other dads out there who want to be healthy and fit?

Find a few SOLID mentors. Dig deep to how it will feel when you arrive at your goal and THEN practice FEELING that way today. Goals. A Plan. Tracking. Staying motivated. And helping others along the way will help you reach your goal much quicker and maintain your gainzzzz. Show your kids you love them by taking care of yourself.
